Professor Dr. Rasha Sharaf
Professor Dr. Rasha Sharaf is the Secretary General of the Education
Development Fund at the Egyptian Cabinet of Ministers. She is a Professor of International and Comparative Education and Education Administration at Helwan University in Egypt and the Knowledge Lead of the KIX/EMAP Hub for South Asia, the Middle East, and North Africa subregions since October 2021. As well, she is the NORRAG Regional Editor for the NSI Arabic special issues. Her consultation and research interests are in planning of education systems, policy reforms, and development.
Sharaf has consulted and advised education reform projects and initiatives in over 15 countries in MENA and South Asia. Professor Sharaf has also worked as the Director of the Strategic Planning Unit at the Ministry of Higher Education and State for Scientific Research (2006-2012), the Cultural Attaché at the Egyptian Embassy in the United Kingdom and Ireland (2012-2014), and The Advisor to the Minister of Education and Technical Education for International Cooperation (2016-2018).
