Prof.Dr.Ahmed Elhewy



Ahmed Elhewy received his BSc degree with excellent grade in June 1992 from naval architecture and Marine Engineering department, Faculty of Engineering Alexandria University, In June 1996 he gained his MSc from the same department. Then a PhD degree in marine engineering, University of Newcastle, UK, in February 2005.

He was appointed as a demonstrator in the Department of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, University of Alexandria in October 1992, then as a teaching assistant in June 1996. After receiving PhD He was employed as an assistant professor in April 2005 and promoted to associate professor in 2011, since 2016 he is a professor in the same department and currently a vice- dean of student’s affairs of the faculty of Engineering Alexandria University.

Through his professional career he participated in many activities on all levels. On the national level, he is a member of the presidential council for education and scientific research, also the advisor of the minster of higher education and scientific research for the technical education. On the university level, he was the director of the measurement and evaluation center and the executive manager of the project management unit. He was the director of quality assurance unit in the faculty of engineering.

In additional to the above, participating in many scientific researches in the field of marine structures design.
