Diploma Policy

EJ-Kosen aims to develop well-rounded human resources as specified in its Diploma Policy. The Associate Engineering Certificate will be awarded to students who meet the following criteria:

  • Ethics and Broad Education: Applicants must have a strong sense of ethics related to science, technology, and society, along with a well-rounded education (liberal arts and ethics).
  • Basic Academic Skills: Proficiency in natural sciences, mathematics, and information science (Basic Academic Skills in the Sciences).
  • Expertise: Possess specialized knowledge in science and technology (Expertise).
  • Problem-Solving & Design Skills: Ability to think critically and logically, and to identify and solve problems (Problem-solving and design skills).
  • International Perspective & Communication Skills: Ability to engage with diverse cultures and backgrounds (Internationality and Communication Skills).
  • Entrepreneurship and Plan Execution: Show a continuous commitment to contributing positively to the global and regional economy (Plan Execution Capability & Entrepreneurship).

Curriculum Policy: Overview

The curriculum is designed to help students acquire the seven core abilities outlined in the Diploma Policy. The program consists of general and specialized subjects, structured as follows:

  • Lower Grades: Emphasis on general subjects.
  • Upper Grades: Focus on specialized subjects, following a wedge-shaped structure that intensifies the focus on specialized skills as students progress.
  • Curriculum Content: Tailored to the "basic abilities," "specialized skills by field," and "cross-disciplinary abilities" as defined in the MCC.
  • Continuous Improvement: The curriculum is regularly reviewed and updated to integrate technological advancements.
  • Active Learning: Project-Based Learning (PBL) is incorporated to foster independent learning and problem-solving abilities.
  • Practical Training: Significant focus on experiments, practical training, and exercises, allowing students to apply their theoretical knowledge in real-world scenarios.
  • Community Collaboration: Incorporates practical education through collaborations with local communities and businesses.
  • Internships: Expanded internship opportunities to help students develop individual qualities and career paths.

ICT Course Curriculum Policy

In the Information Engineering Course, students will gain comprehensive knowledge and skills in information engineering and data science, based on applied mathematics. The curriculum is structured as follows:

  • Lower Grades: Foundational courses in STEM, metaverse, basic information, programming, and AI/data science.
  • Specialized Courses:
    • AI & Data Science: Algorithms, device applications, etc.
    • Security & Networking: Cybersecurity, blockchain, network engineering.
    • System & Circuit Design: Electronic circuit and LSI system design.
  • Seminars: Career design seminars to foster team-based learning and problem-solving.
  • Active Learning: Promoting independence and communication skills through hands-on activities and teamwork.

Mechatronics Course Curriculum Policy

In the Mechatronics Course, students will acquire knowledge and techniques in mechanical engineering, robotics, and data science, with a strong emphasis on applied mathematics. The curriculum is structured as follows:

  • Lower Grades: Foundation courses in STEM, metaverse, basic information, and AI/data science.
  • Specialized Courses:
    • Robotics: Mechatronics-related subjects.
    • Cyber-Physical Systems: Digital twin technology for machine and robot design verification.
    • Energy Engineering: New power generation and storage systems.
  • Seminars: Encourage career design and team-based problem-solving.
  • Active Learning: Students will engage in active learning to develop independence and communication skills.

About EJ-KOSEN

EJ-KOSEN provides an advanced scientific and practical education, culminating in the award of the Kosen Diploma, which is equivalent to a higher level of traditional secondary education. Key aspects include:

  • Focus on globally required technical skills.
  • Job opportunities in engineering and technology fields.
  • Pathways to technological universities, engineering, and computer colleges.
  • Development of advanced skills for academic and professional competition.
  • Early-stage practical application and field experiments.
  • Implementation in cooperation with the Japanese JICA organization, drawing on Japan’s experience in technical and vocational education.
  • Aims to support the Egyptian economy by addressing the gap between education and the labor market.
  • Implementation begins in 2025, with plans to expand to five-year secondary industrial and vocational schools.
