“Education Development Ministers” visits Korea Tech University to discuss ways of cooperation in training and qualifying human resources

A delegation from the Education Development Fund of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, headed by Dr. Ahmed Hosni Elhewy, Secretary-General of the Fund, and Dr. Mohamed Badawi, Dean of Cairo Technological College, Dr. Omaima Nabil, International Cooperation manager , Dr. Abdullah Mukhtar, the local coordinator of the project, visited Korea Tech University for Technology and Education, in continuation of EDF role in applying modern methods in education systems, especially technological education.
Dr. Ahmed Elhewy , Secretary General of the Education Development Fund supervising Misr International Technological University, and the accompanying delegation, based on the joint cooperation project between Korea Tech University and Misr International Technological University, visited Korea Tech University, which included holding several important meetings with Professor Young Lee, the project director, Professor Choi Seong is a project coordinator, Professor Hyo Chan is an expert in software and equipment, Professor Lee Jae Hyeop is an expert in IT software, Professor Oh Soo Bong is an expert in human resources development, and Professor Lee Munsu is an expert in linking university with industry.
He added - in the press release issued by EDF- that the Egyptian delegation met during the visit with the President of Korea Tech University, to confirm cooperation with the university and expansion in various areas of cooperation, and the delegation made a field tour inside the university’s various buildings, workshops and laboratories, and visited the building linking the university with industry, And the virtual education building. Elhewy explained that the Education Development Fund delegation learned during the visit about the Korean experience, after emerging from the Korean War, and the challenges that faced the Koreans in the absence of any natural resources that the state could rely on. Therefore, the state directed its attention to qualifying and developing human resources, starting from Establishing centers for training and qualifying cadres at the state level for handicrafts and agriculture. Then the training centers developed into what is called Polytechnic, and then began to pay attention to the five most important modern industries, which are iron, petrochemicals, textiles, cars, and electronics, in addition to construction and building, leading to Korea occupying an advanced position. At the global level in modern economies.
The Secretary-General of the Education Development Fund pointed out that the Polytechnic system in Korea is very similar to the intermediate technical institutes of the Ministry of Higher Education, but with different material and human capabilities, noting that the Egyptian delegation visited the Seoul Polytechnic and the robotics and automobile
laboratories .
Dr. Ahmed Elhewy, said that the Fund delegation also held a meeting during the visit with Ambassador Abdel-Rahman Khaled Abdel-Rahman, Egypt’s ambassador to South Korea, in the presence of a representative of Korea Tech University, to discuss ways of cooperation between Egypt and South Korea in the field of training and qualifying human resources and exporting Egyptian technicians to south Korea.
