"Development of Education in Ministers" discusses cooperation with "Finnish Hamik" to prepare the curricula and cadres of the University of Technology

Dr. Ahmed Hosni Al-Hewy, Secretary-General of the Education Development Fund of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, received the representative of the Finnish Hamik University, Dr. Marit Viscari, to discuss frameworks of cooperation between Hammock University of Applied Sciences in Finland, and Misr International University of Technology, one of the Fund's projects, within the framework of preparing a joint protocol.



Dr. confirmed. Ahmed Al-Hewy, that the meeting dealt with a detailed presentation of Misr International Technological University with its three branches in Cairo, Fayoum and Assiut, and discussed the possibility of cooperation with Hamik University in preparing the scientific curricula for the undergraduate level and their equivalence with the Finnish curricula in the joint disciplines «Competency based Curriculum».



He added - in the press release issued by the Fund - that the meeting also witnessed the possibility of preparing and training faculty members, preparing and training leadership and administrative cadres at the University of Technology, establishing a continuous evaluation of the quality system at the University of Technology, in addition to establishing an exchange program for faculty members.



Al-Hewy explained that this meeting comes within the framework of the keenness of the Education Development Fund and Misr International University of Technology, which it supervises, to make joint cooperation agreements to seek the assistance of the expertise of foreign partners, to provide distinguished technological education through which the university can supply the local and international labor market with technicians on the latest international standards. Pointing out that the meeting included a visit to the workshops and laboratories of the College of Technology in Cairo.



It is noteworthy that Hamik University is one of the Finnish universities of multidisciplinary higher education, which is interested in providing the needs of the labor market, as the university offers 29 bachelor's degree programs and 13 master's degree programs, and teaches eleven degree programs in English.
