Education development in ministers: 160 scholarships for youth and women.. and the launch of a training initiative in cooperation with Misr El Kheir
Dr. Ahmed Hosni Al-Hewy ,Secretary-General of the Education Development Fund affiliated to the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, announced the signing of a cooperation protocol with the Misr El-Kheir Foundation, to sponsor and support some of the most needy students from the Technical Secondary School in Cairo affiliated to Misr International University of Technology, one of the fund’s projects, and to launch the “Productive Citizen” initiative. An Enlightened Mind for Training and Rehabilitation.
He added in - the press release issued by the Fund - that the cooperation protocol is for a period of three years and includes providing 40 scholarships to the most needy students and supporting them financially, in addition to making available the Fund's technological complexes for training and employment, where young men and women will be encouraged to train in trades and professions and empower breadwinner women and youth, And to provide 160 scholarships for young people desiring technical education in the fields of applied technology, and empowering women and youth with breadwinners.
Al-Hewy explained that the protocol includes providing all the elements of the faculties to hold the trainings, as the Misr El-Kheir Foundation selects the students, families and youth who will be trained, pointing out that the aim of this protocol is to support and encourage technical education as one of the main directions of the Egyptian state, in addition to providing job opportunities for young people. And ladies, the Misr El-Kheir Foundation is also committed, according to this protocol, to providing databases for the target groups and raising awareness of the initiative in the governorates and submitting them to the Education Development Fund for study and accreditation, provided that the fund provides its components represented in universities, laboratories, workshops, and its academic cadres to prepare and provide training and awareness programs.
For his part, Dr. said. Mohamed Rifai, CEO of Misr El-Kheir Foundation, said that the education sector of the Foundation works in a systematic and deliberate manner to provide distinguished educational services, especially in the field of technical education, which applies to the cooperation protocol with the Education Development Fund, according to which scholarships will be provided for a period of three years, in addition to the Fund’s establishment By providing short and medium-term training and awareness programs in the form of a diploma, with the aim of developing students’ capabilities, which will reflect positively on society.
He added that these scholarships will be offered to students who are distinguished in education, and who have advanced grades in the preparatory stage. .
In the same context, Dr. Saber Hassan, Head of the Education Sector at Misr El-Kheir Foundation, said that the protocol also includes grants that benefit groups of people of determination and their families, especially in the fields of training and economic empowerment, in an effort to provide a decent life for these groups. This comes within the framework of an integrated initiative to develop the capabilities of society and link the outputs of the initiative with the labor market to provide job opportunities for trainees.
The signing ceremony of the cooperation protocol was attended by Dr. Ahmed Hosni Al-Hewy ,Secretary General of the Education Development Fund, Dr. Mohamed Rifai, CEO of Misr El Kheir Foundation, d. Saber Hassan, Head of Education Sector, Misr El Kheir Foundation, Dr. Mohamed Abdel Rahman, President of Misr International Technological University, and the deans of the university's faculties.
